Carolina: let’s sum my 10 months up

I just got back to Italy and I really don’t know how to define what I’ve been living for the past 10 months. Let me tell you that these 10 months have changed my life.

I met people who are now “my best friends”, “my squad”, while my American family became my second family. They taught me what love, friendship, help, and support mean and I couldn’t be happier to have them in my life right now.

It was hard, and sometimes I thought about giving up, but I never did. Do you know why? Because my friends and my family have always been there for me. I learned what “being honest” and “caring about people” mean and I wanna say THANK YOU for everything everyone did for me... thank you for letting me be Homecoming Queen, for being so nice to me, for helping me through this experience, for letting me dance and compete, and for making me feel at home.

I probably can’t explain how thankful I am for having them in my life, and how much they changed me by teaching me what really matters and what’s important. I feel grown up, more mature, independent... I feel so lucky and I promise I’ll be back really soon because now a piece of my heart is there.

THANK YOU everyone, THANK YOU Mondo Insieme!
